Business Rates

Hudson and Company provides rating advice on all types of commercial property.  Business Rates are becoming an increasing burden on occupation and property ownership, and we endeavour to secure reductions wherever possible.  To this end we provide preliminary advice with no up-front fees, and where appropriate we submit appeals on a performance related fee basis.  We shall endeavour to negotiate a satisfactory settlement with the Valuation Office, but where we consider their position incorrect or unreasonable we shall take the appeal to Tribunal.

We also advise on Empty Property Rates, where a liability arises after 6 months in the case of an industrial property and 3 months on all other types of business property.  Hudson and Company are able to advise on how to mitigate this liability.
